My current personal group has 9 members and play once a week. I occasionally play with three other groups, whom have about 15 members total. Games in our area are played on many nights of the week. Games we play you ask? 1e AD&D, 2e AD&D, 2e Shadowrun, 2e Star Wars, 1e Twilight 2000, as well as a small group of us play Warhammer 40K. I know of two groups whom play 3e AD&D, but I do not play. If you are a player looking for a group OR a group looking for more players OR even a GM/DM looking to get back into playing, mail me and we will see if we can get some of the groups build up with new players OR new groups founded. I will work with groups from anywhere in the Durant Area... say 30miles or so in all directions of Durant? Just let me know. My group could use a couple more GM-players. Established in January of 1993 to spread the knowledge of history, military history, and historical miniature war gaming in the South Central United States but not limited to that geographical region. Several members are students, alumni, faculty or staff of the University, but many are not associated with the University in any way. All persons interested in historical gaming, especially with miniature figures, are welcome to attend meetings of the Society and participate in its games. While the name of the Society does suggest a strong historical flavor to the group, we do have the occasional fantasy or science fiction game. This club is no longer a University organization. Avalon Hill's classics Diplomacy, Machiavelli, and Advanced Civilization are also favourites of the group. The group consists of 9 devoted players with another 5-12 player that show up 1-2 a month. We have 2 rated aces also in the club. We love to help new players learn the 2nd most complex and probably the most technical game in existence. Meetings: SFB of Dallas meets every Saturday at Games Unique in the Prestonwood Mall. The group starts playing about 11:00 am to about 8:30 PM. We like to take lunch with everyone in the food court to talk about tactics and when is the next con is. We have proud history of almost 3 years at the same location and hope to continue this tradition of playing SFB. I would as like to state for the record that SFB and the group is played in a positive atmosphere.
