Standing and Ad Hoc Committees:
- Development Committee: A new policy is needed for the priority of pre-school registration. It was decided that first priority would be given to current Annunciation School families. Second Priority will be given to currently registered Pre-K families. After the first two groups have had a chance to register then it will be open to the public at Open House. The committee likes the idea of a free tuition drawing at the picnic. This would only be available to new families that have not already registered.
- Education Committee
: The committee discussed discipline in the school. Judy and Robin will attend the next Faculty meeting – May 4th – to discuss the issue.
- Tuition Committee
: Tuition assistance has been granted to one family.
- Computer Committee
: Passwords have been changed per Fr. Emil’s request. Ann reported that the Federal government would require schools that receive federal assistance to have filters installed on PC’s. PC Essentials, a software program, could be installed on each machine. Ann will look into this.
- Budget Committee
: Robin reported how the budget presentation to the HSG went. The issue of the weekly envelope was discussed. Otto will discuss with Fr. Emil the possibility of the parish regulating instead of the board.
- Policy Committee
: Jim will need to get with Judy the specs to write the new policy on Pre-School registration guidelines.
- Building and Grounds
: Otto and Dave Muench have done an outstanding job putting together the contract for the new cleaning company.
New Business:
- Homework Free Nights: The
board recommends to Barb that the following nights will be homework free nights: HSG Open House, Lessons in Carols, Lenten Vespers, Chinese Auction, and the School Play. Barb agreed to this recommendation.
Closing prayer said by Mike Sobczak. Meeting was adjourned at 8:30 PM.
Respectfully submitted,
Robin Bartnik
