As a result of members needing to leave early we will address the 30 hour program 1st.
Judy Eckem wants to know what the status is so that a memo can go out to potential lunch monitors. Also Paul Kieffer wanted to note that the 30 hour program helps get people to volunteer to work the football games.
The 30 hour program needs to be simplified. Currently it causes poor customer service with families who complain about whether or not they have enough hours worked or not.
Dave Muench submitted his alternatives to the board. All members agreed to institute the concept of lower tuition. Any family not interested in volunteering at the school will be assessed a non-activity fee of $300.00. The current tuition for the 2002-2003 school year is $1,475.00. With 30 hours of volunteering families can get $200.00 off of tuition. Additional discounts will be given to those families who work additional hours as follows:
Allowing the maximum discount per family to be $300.00. Parents will be required to sign a contract up front committing to a certain number of hours and with potentially where they would be willing to help.
The board voted unanimously to pass the above procedure.
Administration of the fundraiser hours will differently as well. On sheet will be handed in by the family at the end of each event or quarterly.

School Calendar was discussed and it was determined that in the August meeting a committee meeting calendar should also be started. It was agreed that committees should meet more frequently and the calendar will also show deadlines for committees.
The board was polled to see if this years’ annual meeting held in August could be moved up 1 week due to schedule conflicts. Also, the board will consider moving its meetings to Mondays.
Defender series Flashcards (apologetics) were presented to the board as a gift to Baptism parents. They would also be useful in the classroom.
We are expecting 134 people to attend the Kindergarten graduation.
Dave Muench summarized the board year reflecting the amount of progress that was made.
The meeting was closed by Paula Penepent with a prayer.
