The meeting began at 7PM with a prayer by Otto Wieand.

Minutes for the August meeting were not available. They will be available next meeting.

The meeting format will be changed slightly. In the past each person was asked if they had any issues to put before the board - this year only those that have issues will present them. The Chair requested that items be scheduled with him before the meeting.

Elections were not held, as there were no announcements after Masses. Janet Shanahan agreed to speak at all Masses.

Development: The school had a booth at the picnic this year and there was a great turnout and interest in the school. We will do it again next year. The booth will be repositioned for better visibility and accessibility. Many positive comments were received.

Tuition: The Tuition Assistance Form and Guidelines will be put into effect. A vote was taken and it passed 8 to1. It was agreed to try it this year as approved. The form will be reviewed at the end of the year to see if the process is not a barrier to raising enrollment.

Computer: Nothing to Report

Budget: Nothing to Report

Policy and Planning: A copy of the operations guide that was part of the new Fund Raising Policy was requested so it could be included and circulated.

Unfinished Business: None

New Business: Cafeteria procedures were discussed at length. One board member was concerned that children were moving setting up the tables everyday. The discussion included the purchase of new tables; new cafeteria, using Langley Hall, as well as other ideas. It was generally agreed that children would not go back to eating lunch in the classroom.

Barb Ryan said a volunteer handyman is needed to handle minor maintenance issues. Mike Pepe will ask for volunteers at the next Home School Guild Meeting.

The Annunciation School Board minutes are published in the Annunciation Web Site under the school board link on the main page. Anyone who does not have Internet access can get them from the school office.
