Committee Reports:

Development: The HSG approved the $50.00 request for Leave-a-Legacy WNY. The request for $200.00 will be considered after the $600.00 is used from the school budget.

Tuition: One tuition grant was given to a needy family in the school.

Families have been credited for the hours towards the 30-hour credit program.

Computer: a $2,000 profit was made from wrapping paper sales and will go towards new computer hardware. The grants from Iroquois will go towards software.

Budget: Next years budget must be completed by January 16.

Policy and Planning: Is working on the referral policy.

Mission Statement: The mission statement survey is being compiled.

Education: Nothing to report.

Building and Grounds: Otto met about mats. Permission was granted to put up the mats but heaters on the east wall will be moved after heating season is over. The board suggested a temporary solution until permanent mats can be installed.

An asbestos inspection was made and the wall tiles have no asbestos. The tiles don't have to be removed; they can be covered. The glue that bonds the floor tiles in the gym is 2% asbestos.

The gym floor will not be replaced because of other priorities.

Much discussion took place about the priorities. It was agreed to seek and understand Father Emil's priorities so we can work together. Otto will call to set up an executive session.

Unfinished Business: Elaine Ruszczyk presented the board a human sexuality program for schools that Catholic Charities offered.

Principal Issues: During the meeting Jim Serafin read a letter from Mary Jane.

Other: Discussion was had about the Spanish program. It was recommended that we consider early Spanish rather than in 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades.

Brother Robert will be attending our January meeting.

The meeting was adjourned after a prayer by Mary Beth Morgan.
