Scrip simply means "substitute money." Participating retailers allow us to purchase gift certificates at a discount, people such as yourselves buy the certificates from us for full face value and redeem them for full face value, and our school keeps the differences as revenue.

The program does not require you to spend any extra money, just to plan ahead so that you can purchase the certificates to use where you already shop and eat, etc. Gift certificates also make great gifts.
