What you will need: Dowel (3/8" diameter) 2 Nails 3v regulated power supply (that you can get at Radio Hut) Shrink tubing (optional)

I used a 3/8" wooden dowel. I cut the dowel to the length of the base of a AAA battery, drilled a hole in the center (on the end) of the dowel the diameter of the nail. I cut most of a nail off, toered a wire from the power supply to it right under the head of the nail. Then inserted the nail into the hole and tapped it in a little with a hammer. Then I put some shrink tubing over the dowel and shrank it to make for a snug fit. I filed the nail head smooth.

It is a good idea to mark the polarity of the wires. You might have to pull out on the VR3's positive battery terminal to get a good contact because it is nearly flat.  Good luck!
