U.S. Recruiting 1 in 24 Americans as Citizen Spies
I've heard people defending the Tips program by saying it's no different than a neighborhood watch program (which is not true) and that people can already report suspicious activities so what's the difference in having a program? Well, if there's no difference, why not leave things the way they are? Why do they NEED a program if the program is no different than the way things are now? They're not thinking this through apparently.
