Wandering in a wilderness of responsibilities and should-do's... fuck 'em. 2003 has been a good and laid back year for Frakus. Good time had and good friends everywhere. Dave has been very busy pushing his craft to new horizons by working on the side with critically acclaimed songwriter Larry Herbstritt. Laying out all the guitar tracks for new songs and newer versions of old songs has been a good learning experience all around.

Time flies. Work is still progressing on the CD project. If you put all the time together that we've spent on this, including outtakes, it would have to be close to a solid month of tracking. Roughly 30 Gigabytes of tracks overall. Processes and equipment has improved as we've gone along... and this looks promising for future projects as well no matter how the first one is received. Just doing our own thing for our own sanity. Works in progress at this point are Cold Black Morning, Portrait of Madness, Falling.

Everybody who came out to the Northwoods for the Halloween bash a few weeks ago, cheers to you. I had 90 pictures on my camera to sort through and still never came close to photographing all the costumes. I got a couple dozen more pictures in the email from Rob MacCready that still are to be posted yet...

Quote of the summer: "How's that CD coming?"

Sweet Jesus! It has been a while since the last entry here, hasn't it? Not that there has been nothing noteworthy... just a busy time for all. Recording, editing and producing whenever time allows has reaped us four songs ready to press and another DOZEN or so in the wings, partially recorded, scratch tracked, and documented in the track log. We usually get time to work on the actual recording process about twice a month... but we make the most of the time we get. The finished lot include 'Do you Believe?', Bleeder', Nightmare', and 'Burden on Society'. We have been spending a lot of time updating the cover list as well, lately. Ozzy, Van Halen, Pearl Jam, Bad Company, and Creed most recently.

THUNDER on the Mountain 2002 comes up on the 16th of August and presale tickets are available for $15 from ABATE members. Entertainment is lined up for the weekend and includes FRAKUS opening up on Friday night and PRIMITIVE TOOL finishing out. Saturday starts out with TORQUE at 6:30 and FRAKUS finishing out until the wee hours of twilight. Hopefully the weather holds out... this could be a kick ass year!

March 18th 2002

Damn, time flies. Things have been real busy lately. Saturday night at the Northwoods was a riot! DDS kicks ass, we love playing with you guys and we hope to do something again soon.

More tracks are being laid down every week and the album project is coming into more of a reality all the time. It may seem to some that the wheels turn slowly, but actually there is a ton of work to be done for each individual song and track... time it takes and we will take our time to try to get it captured right.

February 07,2002

Ahhhh what a week. We played out nowhere. It was our first time in the studio in many moons and it went pretty smoothly. Four more songs were laid out for the record into pre-production phase. We have much work to do before entering the studio again... but it won't be long.

January 20th, 2002

Barring any unforseen problems, We'll be playing another show with Dogday Sunrise at the Northwoods tavern before they head off to the Merry old England in late spring. I guess the plan is for March the 16th... we have to fill the room up with enough bodies to let the PA system do its dirty work properly so put on your drinking shoes and come on down. The more flesh in the room, the better we can make it sound.

Work and planning continues to progress on the original project here... promising to span writings and pieces of music that have been kicking around since some of us were in Jr. High school. It shall be done.

January 2nd, 2002

Another year passes and no diety has slapped our happy asses off the globe yet. Guess we're OK now. New year's Eve at the Ulysses American Legion was a very good time. I put a few pictures in the Evileye page... check 'em out and see if you are there.

We finally got our snow for Christmas...( thank the Lawd that we are not any closer to Buffalo) and the sub zero wind chills with it. Not to mention the severe head and chest colds that make singing for four hours a real trial. Why didn't I move to Arizona?? Anyhow, we are gonna kick it up a notch this year adding more high energy classic, new, and original music into the sets. We have a few new regular Venues on the schedule, so we'll be seeing a lot of new faces. It should be a good year.

One year ago I predicted that this group would have its first original album completed by late fall. Guess I was a bit wrong. We all have schedules to work around, and equipment failure was a big issue... but things are looking up, now. I am not going to make any promises, but we are on a roll.

November 18th, 2001

Whither dost he fly? Yonder the diaper headed swine runneth! Only a matter of time for good 'ol Bin Laden.

Well, Jer made it through last night despite his recent hip injury on his deck stairs. It was up in the air earlier this week whether he would be able to play at all, but he pulled through. This friday we bust the cherry on a new venue in Bolivar, then its back to the home turf at the merry old Northwoods tavern! Sorry Ray, we have not had a chance to work on that Dio tune yet... and we have yet to choose up some LIVE songs for the party in June. We'll get it done.

October 25th 2001

Hey everybody, its time to party! Get down to the northwoods ingognito, and do stupid shit while nobody knows who you are! Joy will probably give away tube steak ...I mean... two steak dinners to the best costume winners as always. I'll have to warn you, though, dressing as al queda terrorists may produce unwanted results. Lets Have a blast!

Don't goose the ghosts, cuz you'll only get a handful of sheet.

September 25, 2001

Fundamentalist pricks at home and abroad... thousands dead...war declarations pending...heroes and martyrs in the swirling sea of sorrow within our own boundaries. A myriad stories of loss and luck, death and survival. It has indeed been difficult to think of anything else in these past few weeks. When we arrived in Westfield Saturday night for our first show since Labor day, we were lacking the same enthusiasm as was usual. However it did not take long to get the good times rolling and I think we all found that it was exactly what we needed.

Back on track this week we'll be heading back into Eldred to kick a little ass and swear about Osama Bin Laden some more.

Hard to beleive it is almost time for another Halloween bash at the Northwoods... one month and two days. What are YOU gonna wear?

August 20, 2001

WHEW what a weekend. Much too short, though. Thunder 2001 was a great success for the God's Country ABATE chapter. By friday evening, already more people had signed in at the gate than all of last year's rally. Good beer... 3 tatooists...leather...chrome, and LOUD FU*KIN' MUSIC. We stayed onstage this year until well after dawnfor the saturday night show. It was 6:17am by my watch. If the gentleman of the local ABATE chapter ask us to play again next year, we'll make it to 7:00, dammit!! Dawn was no stopping point for Dave at all. After the lights were shut down, and the amps were cold, he was still picking away on his accoustic guitar for all the partiers left standing until about 10:00am.

Thanks to "Red Rooster and the Phat Bastards"(.formerly southern influence) for a killer late show Friday night. They played a lot of good music until 4:00am when they only stopped because their Drummers kick drum pedal broke. This past Saturday night was their last show as a band together at Randy's in Olean. Maybe Red will form another band someday. If any of the guys from the band read this, let the ABATE guys know if you start another band. Then we can do thunder together again if they have us back.

Scoundrel played their asses off Saturday for the early show. They've only been together for 7 weeks, but an all veteran lineup makes them an act to see. Former members of Back Alley, Lip Service, Shadowfox, Surprise Package, Addison Avenue, and White Raven to name a few. It was a great show, too. that was the first time I ever heard Bruce play eruption. They did a great job on silent lucidity, as well.

Well, the music wasn't the only cool shit on the mountain... the bikes, partying, and and Games are an excellent time. You just have to be there for those. Anybody who missed the fun this year should definitely plan a campout there for next year. Let the rest of the world melt away for a couple of days...

August 07, 2001

The weekend in retrospect, was a pretty good time at Rickstock 2001. Decker did a pretty damn good job at festival sound on short notice. The only real bummer of the weekend was finding that someone had snatched a guitar player's toolbox containing hundreds of dollars in effects and patch cables. Dave was more than willing to lend the guy whatever he had, though, so he was able to play, but that is beside the point. I hope they found the c**ksucker who took it.

When you are busy every weekend playing your own shows, you don't get out very often to see other's. Events like this one give us a chance to kick back and see what everybody performs like with the same sound system. We all hope that Rick keeps this thing going for years to come, so at least once a year all the musicians able and willing to fill the roster can get trashed and hang out.

July 29, 2001

Friday night was a blast. Dogday was well received by the Coudersport crowd and I am sure they'll be invited back. We will do more shows with these guys in the future, just because it is a fuckin great time. One of these times we'll have to make sure we have the time to let Joey set up and soundcheck with his kit, as he has had to play Jer's for one reason or another both times thus far. Bob had a thought, too, that the next time we do a gig together, we will gang up together on a couple of high energy basher tunes. Sounds like a metallic clusterfuck of epic proportions to me... the way it ought to be. Fuckin' A!!

Saturday night was an event we had been waiting for for months. Not in any way dissapointing to all the anticipation... Wayne throws a killer party. Lots of excellent food...Lonnie's taco salad is a southwestern dream, and the Doc Macgillicuddy's and JD flowed like niagara falls. The sound of beating drums echoed through the valley along with the distinctive roars of Real American 45 degree heavy metal, and the birthday of a man wise beyond his years is celebrated amongst all those who love him as a brother. Waynestock 2002 is gonna be even better on July 27th, 2002.

Happy Birthday, Brother

Thunder on the Mountain is just a few weeks away... start buying your bottles and party favors, Cause there ain't no excuse for not having a good time up there, Rain or shine!

July 27th, 2001

Due to a slight scheduling error, Frakus and Dogday sunrise both have found themselves booked at the same venue on the same night. The humble way to resolve would of course be to stand down and let the other band have the Job. We being of prevision see this, however, as a chance for a really kickass night for all. Advertising having already been laid out by both groups, some people will show up expecting DDS, and some expecting Frakus. Who are we to intentionally dissapoint? SO, Frakus will open the night for DDS and we can all enjoy a tankard of Rock and roll with a double shot of Metal.

July 25th 2001

What a summer... ups and downs. The owners of Jack's steakhouse have ben repreived of their fines and are again permitted to have an entertainment schedule... but the situation is not without its side effects. Now the town of coudersport is constantly under the watchful eye of BIG ASSHOLE BROTHER in the form of a couple of has-been bikers who went to the other side of the fence to become agents of the "law". Lazy by nature, they are not happy to be away from home due to having to investigate the complaints of the pussy-ass whiners with busy phone fingers who started this mess (the number of which can be counted on your fingers...one hand). With an iron hand they are pounding down the 7up and threatening liscence holders with raids and proffessing their godlike status as "the man". Well, a few assholes apparently are held to account for the entire populace of a region, and the sound of even a jukebox cannot be contained within the walls of a structure... so we as the citizens must endure this harrassment for a time. Trucks and cars beeping their horns or shaking the ground with their loads pass my house all night long, but I do not call the officials and complain, because there is nothing I can do about it and I have learned to live with it. Some people are just Shitheads.

Letters to congressmen may help, nonetheless, and can be easily done at the web sites, if you have the time. I have written several myself.

July 17th , 2001

Saturday night was a really different experience. A great showing by DogDay Sunrise proves that they are back at full swing in the local scene. Some new original material got its cherry popped for the Eldred crowd by both bands. We are all looking forward to working with the Band again soon, as well as at RICKSTOCK (which, again, Bob has issued the flyer design as this was being written... uncanny timing, Bob). Flyer will be on the front page as soon as I am done writing this.

June 26th, 2001

As predicted, despite the dampness, Saturday night was a blast. Everything went great, and Paul did an outstanding job on running sound for all of us. Thanks and Kudos to JUNKhead and Pat Bickford for inviting us/throwing a killer to-do.

THUNDER ON THE MOUNTAIN is coming up in just a few weeks... Pray for good weather and plan on staying. sometime in the near future I will Re-post the picture pages from last year's TOTM to get everyone's memories stirred... it is always an interesting time, indeed.

Got the flyer design from Bob today for the DDS/Frakus show coming up at the Gold Eagle... of course you already saw it on the front page. we are all looking forward to that one.

June 22nd 2001

I guess the word now is that Jamestown NY based "Synergy" will not be appearing at the Bickford Bash this year.... but the 15 KEGS OF BREW will certainly be on time. So come on out and get

FUCKED up

June 19th, 2001

After conferring with Bob, I received the following information:

DDS is back with ALL original members, but has added a guitarist they found in Pittsburgh. His name is JD Rowe. Now that they have added him it has opened a whole world of new sounds and possibilities for the band.

This, I take, is a slight change toward a still heavy hitting , but more melodic state. A bit of a change in writing style with the freedom of two guitar players to support the weight . I am looking forward to hearing what this will sound like. Now that details are getting clearer it appears that We'll all have the chance to se what is up so far as we are planning two shows together for Mid July... the first of which is going to be at the Gold Eagle in Eldred on the 14th, and the second tentatively at Club 481 in Olean on the 20th.

More later...

June 17th, 2001

A very special thanks goes out to the PLCB for their accute cessation of entertainment privileges at Jack's Steakhouse in Coudersport. Without their help, we would not have been able to fill in a gap in the entertainment schedule at the Roadhouse in Olean last night and meet some great new people and possibly securing a good longtime venue. Wouldn't it just CHAP THEIR ASS to know they helped us out in a roundabout way... heh heh. Thanks to everybody that came out there last night and made it worth the while.

In other news, We'll be supporting the rampantly popular Smethport based JUNKhead at the upcoming Annual Bickford bash in Farmer's Valley next week, and Bob Price of the original Bradford bad-asses "DOG DAY SUNRISE" has been in contact with George about doing a couple of shows together this Summer or early Fall...

June 9, 2001

All future Shows (for everyone) at Jack's Steakhouse in Coudersport, PA are cancelled due to lack of testicle fortitude on the parts of the PLCB and the pussy ass dope headed neighbors at the nearby Rusty Crack Cabins. Some really hefty fines have resulted from the situation and no one can expect The managment of Jack's to be able to continue with a live entertainment schedule. I don't, after some thought, think anyone should blame the band that was there the night of the last "violation". Sure, they might actually have been a bit too loud for the size of the room... but that is not the point. Legal noise limits, to my understanding, have always had to be under 128 SPLdb's in the room. For anyone not familiar with how loud that may be, a jumbo jet is approximately 180 at takeoff right next to the engines. Most killer car stereos make more noise driving through town than what came out of the steakhouse on any given night. If the legal noise limits have changed that much then we are all fucked. The Nazi cops have so many people afraid to go out and have a good time... even with a DD, and now they start shutting down entertainment venues through monetary persuasion. You know... people have more freedom in Russia these days. Better start burying your Guns.

June 6, 2001

Hmmm. I guess there hasn't been much to post about lately. Spring is like a damp prelude to the four months of partying that follow. Outdoor shows abound all over this year... facing mother nature down the gullet with hordes of soundgear exposed to the weather, Plastic party cups full of flat draughts of beer, wet morning tents and lots of screaming insanity. That is what summer is all about. I hope everyone is into a little partying this year... i feel I am overdue. This winter was a long drawn out BITCH and we all need a good, hot, drunken season.

March 4, 2001

Thanks to everone who came out to Jack's steakhouse Friday night and the northwoods tavern Saturday night. Last night was a last minute "call in" Gig on behalf of JUNKhead, as their singer had been stricken with pneumonia this past week. See their site for that story. Welcome to the Blizard of 2001, folks. We're gonna be up to our eyeballs in snow by morning... but it is March and there is light at the end of the tunnel. Comes in like a bigass lion and goes out like a wide eyed sheep. We'll get dug out and see you all at the Northwoods on Saint Patty's Day.

February 12, 2001

Well, the rumor in the guestbook is true. The new management of that little low ceilinged dump in Portville has cancelled the 2 bookings that we had there for the year 2001. We played there once last year and we were unimpressed by the venue anyhow. That is their loss, to say the least. They can keep their hip hop hardcore bullshit no talent screaming mimi image... no one else wants it. We play kick ass Rock and roll exclusively. Another rumor I heard this week was comfirmed by Gary Shmoyer. Apparently after the show at Jack's the weekend before last, he had to reinforce the beams holding the new addition up because the crowd caused it to sink. What a night that was....

January 20, 2001

Got some good news about our friends in JUNKhead this week. It seems that they will be moving on to the final round in the Battle of the bands competition at the rock and roll hall of fame in cleveland this week. Good luck to them.

Hope to see a lot of friends at the Colonial Hotel this weekend. Next week we will be bustin' the cherry on a new venue in Coudersport as we warm up the new addition at Jack's.

December 23rd, 2000

It has been a while since I have taken the time to enter any information into this page. One major change to note:KC has played his last official gig with the Frakus. His reasons are understandable for leaving and he has been debating on it for a long time. We knew for months that he may leave by the end of the year, but being hopeful I never posted it on the page. I suppose now I will have to redesign the site to accomodate the member change. I am really not looking forward to removing KC's page. More than likely, he will appear at a few Coudersport shows now and then and jump in for a few tunes. The band will continue on without replacing the second guitar spot.

November 11, 2000

Last night was a lot of fun, for a friday. Northwoods is always one of the the best places for a party. The rumors of expansion of that particular venue continue to tickle our ears every now and then. Latest word is that perhaps the building next door will be "annexed" making the northwoods one of the largest clubs in a large area. I have even heard that there may be a real honest to goodness stage to set up on as well as more dance floor and bar space. Well, we will all keep our fingers crossed that the rumors can become a reality. Happy Turkey day.

November 3rd, 2000

Due to circumstacnces beyond my control (almost) I have not had time to properly update the page this week. everything will be back on track the week of the sixth. all the pictures that anybody may have from satuday night, feel free to email them to HERE or frakus@adelphia.net. I will put them on the page next week along with the ones I took. see you all at the Cricket Saturday!!!

October 28th, 2000

STREET CLOTHES ARE FOR WUSSIES TONIGHT. RUN WITH THE PACK, IN SECRET IDENTITY OR JUST PLAIN HELLISH... DRESS IT OUT! see you all tonight

October 26th, 2000

Well, the latest report on KC's condition is not as well as we had hoped. The Halloween Gig won't be the same without him. Nevertheless it will be a hell of a good time. We all hope that you get better soon, KC. Wish you could be there. Depending on how practices go this week, we may have a guest guitar player to fill in on a few songs... I guess we'll know by Saturday.

October 22, 2000

Get set, Coudersport... This weekend is the annual All Hallows Eve bash at the Northwoods Tavern. We all have looked forward to this one all year. Come down and get freaked out. KC is dead set on making this show, sick or not. Let's make it a Hell of a night......

October 16th, 2000

It was a bit of a strange Gig Saturday night at the Cockeyed cricket in Austin, Pa., as KC is down with Pneumonia for a little while. A few set changes and some band member hop 'n' swap and it was a go. Hope you're feling better, Dude. As of now, this weekend at the Colonial Hotel in Westfield may be sans KC as well but He expects to be all ready for the Hallowen party at the Northwoods on the 28th.

October 1, 2000

A good time was had last night at the Colonial Hotel in Westfield last night. A lot of people were out and about and ready to party. Lucky for us there was a Dic Jockey across the street for the Macarena wussies to dance to, so we were left with the Jammin' crowd (which was quite big enough)! Thanks to all of those who showed up to party and make the night as good as it was. We'll be back there in a few weeks for another round. We're all getting ready for the Halloween party at the Northwood's tavern on the 28th of October, too. Get funky and be brave, fellow countrymen, street clothes are for wussbags that night.

September 24, 2000

What a homecoming Gig it was at the northwoods last night in coudersport... First time Frakus has been there in a few months. Shoulder to shoulder, and packed with hotties. Since the last entry in here Moose has become a daddy again to a beautiful little Girl, and a Step-Grandfather a few short weeks later. Dave's finger that was injured appears to be making a good recovery in movement without the surgery (HELL YEAH!) , so there won't be any time off with the band for that. Halloween party at the northwoods is coming up on the 28th of October, now is the time to get the costumes started. The band will be likewise disguised so don't be a party pooper, be creative.

August 20, 2000

Thunder rolled on Taucher's Mountain over the weekend and Frakus was there to keep the ground thumping between Hawg revvs. Friday night, Frakus Jammed from 6:00 until 10:00, and then the BAR KING SPIDERS delivered a bone crunching set including a lot of old Black Sabbath (which is cool) until well after 1:00am.

Saturday night, the weather got a bit colder but the wildlife got hotter (pictures)

Southern Influence belted out a ton of classics and original music from Grateful Dead to Kenny Wayne Shepherd and turned the stage back over to Frakus from 10:30pm to 5am.

It was a great time, and if you were one of those who couldn't make the trip up the hill this year, well...

SUCKS TO BE YOU

August 13, 2000

Yeah, it has been a strange kind of summer (where the hell did it go?). We are well into August and the parties rage on... Hopefully we are through blowing voice coils on the 18" subs for the year. That remains to be seen as THUNDER ON THE MOUNTAIN is coming up this weekend.

Big Jer is a married man (*sliding index finger inconspicuously across throat*), We await news of a verdict on Dave's Finger, and Moose is awaiting the birth of his newest addition to the family. ASIDE from all these things (as if they aren't enough) life in Frakus land goes on.

NO doubt, the evileye page will be full of explicit material from the ABATE party this weekend. Get the camping equipment together and get your ass up the mountain... HOG heaven in chrome and leather.

July 24, 2000

recieved a few pictures from the party at the Galeton fireworks, the quality isn't all that great but the whole day was a blur for us anyway.

check them out on the evileye page

Hardcore Pals "JUNKhead" have done the deed with thier new EP. Watch for a few dozen flying into the crowd at Rickstock this year.

July 2, 2000

Last night's benefit show was true jamfest. Great food, great people, and music all night long. From 6 until about 9, "fraking slalve" held the stage. Don't recognize the name? Well, I just made it up. This included members of Frakus, Chaos Valve, and Raging Slab: Dave Hoock, Jerry Marks, George Dubots, Stacy Welsh, and Gregory Strzempka. After the annual Galeton fireworks display, Greg stayed on stage and played along with the 69 Band through some kick ass rock and roll blues until about 1:00. It was all genuine groove all day, all night. Special thanks and a well deserved pat on the back goes out to Randy and everyone who put the party together.

June 27, 2000

Dave's finger is severely injured with a torn tendon, but despite that, he will play on. From the sounds of rehearsal tonight, most people will not even notice that Dave is "playing with a handicap".

June 25, 2000

"and frying pans without fires are often far between"- Zelazny

Bummer news this week... It looks that if unless we see a miracle this week, Lead guitarist Dave Hoock will be out of commision for a while. An accident last night left Dave with a crushed pinky finger. The finger will be definitely unusable for a number of weeks, and if the splint/cast/or swollen flesh will not allow some free and relatively painless movement then there will be no guitar playing at all. No, Vicadin and duct tape may not even be enough. Well, if I know Dave it won't be long, though.

June 18, 2000

Dying Young, to most of us hellion type people (speaking for myself), seems like the only way to go. We tell our friends at class reunions that we won't live to see the next one, right? Well it isn't always the over glorified thing we envision. Like when someone dies young from an incurable illness like cancer and leaves behind a family with little or no insurance money to get them back on their feet. We were asked this week to play a benefit for a family in just such a predicament on the 1st of July.

Yeah, what do you think... of course! I could only hope that someone would do the same for my family if the tables were to turn. we'll be there.

More than just a worthy cause... also scheduled to play at the event are:

One of the best classic bands I've heard:The 69 Band

and none other than Raging Slab

This is just a tentative listing... as of now it looks like it is on but things could change. Stay tuned for confirmation or retraction.

June 11, 2000

Thanks goes out to the band "Junkhead" for having Jerry, Dave and Stacy's original project "Chaos Valve" open their show for them last night. Enough good times like last night could kill a guy... whew. Hey, while you're all out grabbing groceries or whatever in the Coudersport area this week, take a look at the new Frakus posters. Moose and friends designed them and they really stand out. Pretty cool looking indeed.

May 27th, 2000

Happy Holiday Weekend ... another hellfire and brimstone night at the Northwoods Tavern last night. (Man, my f**kin' head hurts) Weather was perfect and everyone was tweaked.

Heard some good talk about The "Applejack" show there a couple of weeks ago. Some members of the band and I would like to get out and see those guys play sometime... sounds like they have a pretty good show, too.

You know, some people criticize bands because they cover a lot of older material and "not enough" heavy stuff. Dont' get me wrong... I love a hard set and I'd personally love to play the heaviest all night long, but you've got to admit... when you hear older stuff played live with decent production behind it, it rocks. I don't care if it's Bob Seger, or even Billy Joel. Give it a shot of attitude and it kicks major ass. I think that is what I love the most about working with "Frakus". When you can go from Grand funk's "We're an American Band" to Stone Temple Pilots' "Crackerman" to Bob Seger's "Sunspot Baby" and right back to Godsmack and Foo Fighters...that's a pleasant mix with the right mount of attitude. These guys pull it off great. It all rocks.

A special "Hell Yeah!!!" goes out to Spider this week. It was good to see ya, brother, Hope to see ya again sometime soon.

A big-ass HELL YEAH out all of those who showed up for the PACKED house at the Northwoods tavern in Coudersport .

It was kewl and it was loud. A hot night all around.

Big Jer seems to be all worked into the stream of things now.

A couple of new covers crept onto the setlist since the last show at the northwoods... "Almost Honest" and "Breadline" by "Megadeth ", "Miserable" by "Lit", and "For whom the bell tolls" by "Metalicca".. What is next?? New Creed?? More Classics?? Godsmack?? that is a hard question to answer, but the most likely answer is ALL THE ABOVE.

It was a pretty good time at the Seneca Inn last night, and we all got a surprise at the end of the night.

Just as the drudgery of the post show wrap up was commencing, the sweet smell of pizza cut through the

dissipating cigarette smoke. Thanks a million to Nan and the staff for taking the time to fire up the oven for a 3am

feast. Really good pies they were, too.

April 1st

Raging Slab frontman, Greg Strzempka, popped in during an informal jam session at big Jer's

the other night. Weilding a bright orange '63 re-issue Strat and one of those beautiful Mesa dual

rectifier heads, he was ready to play. I want to see a Raging Slab show more than ever now, that Man can wail.

Greg trading licks with Dave, and all of us fudging our way

through some classic Skynyrd, Zeppelin, and others of common musical lineage until about 4am.

Greg says the new Slab album will be out in a couple of months.

This February, 2000 saw one major change in the band.

Longtime drummer and friend JOHN BRETZ stepped down from his skin beating position as the

backbone of the Frakus rhythm section. A tremendous talent and a Helluva guy to be around,

he will be sorely missed.

March, 2000 saw the debut of the new skin master.

JERRY MARKS of Austin,PA assumed the throne, with a shiny white set of vintage Rogers

and the Heavy hit worthy of an Ex-Marine. I think He is going to work out just fine...

Another unexpected turn of events for march 2000, Longtime sound engineer BUTCH BAKER

Has decided to "hang 'er up" as well.

Well, new soundman is on the job. The WELSHMAN is going to try to fill the Butcher's shoes.

New cover songs are flying onto the set list faster than pop-up browsers on porn sites lately.

It seems safe to say that this summer is gonna heat up for the band.
