Pilates is a form of exercise created by Joseph Pilates nearly a century ago. Over time, it has become an increasingly popular way to achieve strength, balance, and overall fitness.

Pilates is a balanced form of exercise. It simultaneously stretches and strengthens the body, effectively developing optimal fitness. Unlike traditional weight training, Pilates doesn't simply isolate (and potentially overdevelop or overtrain) major muscle groups. Instead, it teaches all of the muscles to work efficiently together. Pilates provides a thorough workout but leaves you feeling relaxed and refreshed. Through application of Pilates exercises, once challenging movements can become effortless.

Pilates can be modified for any level of fitness, from elite athletes to sedentary individuals. It can assist with both injury prevention and rehabilitation. Pilates builds a strong foundation for sports, daily activities, and physcial fitness.
