My name is Deborah Larochelle and I live in a small (but growing) town in Southern Maine. I am a mother to 2 beautiful teenage daughters and my wonderful husband John.

I was first introduced to Dog Showing by accident! John and I wanted a pet quality German Shorthaired Pointer so we began our search for the right "breeder". It was all uphill from there and even though I no longer have G.S.P.’s I am avidly showing and occasionally breeding Chinese Cresteds. My introduction to the Chinese Crested was also by accident! My daughter (4 at the time) saw them at a show and fell in love! Because my daughter did not care for the big dogs I decided to search for the "right" Toy breed that she could have for her very own. Upon searching many webpages and standards for just about every Toy breed dog there is I finally narrowed it down to the Crested! This seemed to be the "right" dog for her, so my search for the perfect one began .

I found Deirdre Petrie/Makara and purchased my first Crested, I am now owned and loved by several of them and could not imagine ever living without them again! Thank you Deirdre for entrusting me with many of your beautiful Chinese Cresteds, offering your help at all hours and being the best mentor one could have asked for!
